What path led you to working with Pushing Pink Elephants? 

As a child, my father was diagnosed with bladder cancer. At that young age, in my mind, cancer meant certain death. I watched as my father battled it for many years, eventually removing his bladder all together. Watching him push through the struggles was very inspiring. When I was asked if I was interested in being a part of PPE, I was so excited to be a part of an organization that was helping others push through their battles.

 

What excites you the most about the work of Pushing Pink Elephants? 

Helping an organization like this grow and prosper as we educate, inform and help others.

 

How is serving on the Board of Pushing Pink Elephants helping you to achieve your personal goals? 

I really enjoy giving back to others.  This is one way that I can use my time and skills to help. Plus, with my involvement I get to learn and expand my views on healthier eating and healthier lifestyle choices. Surrounding myself with other likeminded people helps to keep me on track.

 

What do you want to accomplish by serving on the Board? 

My hope is to help grow and expand the amount of people that we can reach, educate and help while I am on the board.

 

What are some of your personal interests? 

I love spending time with my wife, friends and family. I also really enjoy being outdoors. I spend a lot of time fishing, boating, hunting, camping and hiking.

 

Where can we find you on a typical weekend? 

As the weather changes you will find me in many places, but most of them include the outdoors. I will either be 60 miles off the coast of Ocean City chasing fish, crabbing on the bay, or deep in the woods somewhere enjoying creation! If I am not doing one of those, I will either be working around the house and yard or at a gathering with friends.
