I love knowing there are others who share my passion for healthy living, and ultimately educating others on the importance of making better choices.

Where did you go to school?

Towson University

What path led you to working with Pushing Pink Elephants?

I have had many types of cancer and life threatening health issues on both sides of my family. My grandmother had breast cancer from the time I was born and passed away when I was 8. For as long as I can remember, I’ve pretty much always known someone battling this awful disease. When I met Erin in 2013, we had an immediate connection. From then on, she helped educate me on making healthier choices for myself and my family - whether it was cleaning products, beauty products, food... she was always there with a recommendation. When I was offered the opportunity to join PPE, there was no hesitation that this is something I’d love to be a part of.

How is serving on the Board of Pushing Pink Elephants helping you to achieve your personal goals?

I always strive to be the best version of myself, but at times it is easy to get off track. When I am actively sharing knowledge and resources through PPE, it helps keep me accountable to making healthier choices for myself and my family.

What do you want to accomplish by serving on the Board?

I love the idea of sharing the importance of the choices you make and the impact it can have on your life. Prevention is one of the strongest tools we have, and yet it is overlooked by so many. I am excited to share the mission of pushing pink elephants with as many as I can!

What excites you most about the work of Pushing Pink Elephants?

I love knowing there are others who share my passion for healthy living, and ultimately educating others on the importance of making better choices. When you know better, you do better.

What personal interests are you passionate about?

These days most of my interests revolve around my family. With two small kids, I am always busy doing something with them. When I am lucky enough to have some free time, I love getting lost in a good book.

Where can we find you on a typical weekend?

I am most likely doing something with my family on the weekends! Giving our kids as many opportunities to learn and explore - whether it’s at home or traveling to somewhere new.
