Dealing with a cancer diagnosis is not only a personal and physical challenge, it's also often very isolating for the individual. Even when surrounded by family and friends, there are days when a little encouragement goes a long way. Treatment varies by diagnosis and undergoing chemotherapy comes with its own set of challenges.
Our Chemo Baskets will be delivered to patients undergoing chemo in the community. Each basket will contain gifts that can be opened on the day of chemo or on a day where you need a little encouragement. The gifts include but are not limited to a book, lip balm, bath salts, tea, comfy socks, blanket etc. and will each include a note of encouragement or inspiration.
Pictured here is Mary, she was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer in 2014. She was fortunate enough to have a group of friends who put together a chemo basket for her and she was able to feel their love throughout her entire treatment each time she opened a gift. Our hope is that our baskets will do the same for others who are starting chemo.
This initiative is for adult individuals who will be starting chemo in the very near future. If you recently started chemo but still have several treatments left you can still sign up to receive a basket.
While we look forward to the day when there isn't a need for chemo or PUSH baskets, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to touch so many individuals this year and continue this initiative. Thank you to those who support us financially and make this possible for those in treatment.
Donating towards this amazing initative helps us continue providing this service in the future. Please consider making a donation by clicking on the "donate" buttom below and join the push. Every donation helps and no amounts are too small to make a impact in someones life.
